Duty Differentials Sample Clauses

The Duty Differentials clause defines how differences in customs duties, taxes, or tariffs between countries are handled in a contract. Typically, it specifies which party is responsible for paying any additional costs that arise if duty rates change or if goods are shipped to a location with higher import charges. For example, if a product is exported to a country with unexpectedly high tariffs, the clause will clarify whether the buyer or seller absorbs the extra expense. This clause's core function is to allocate the financial risk associated with fluctuating or varying duty rates, ensuring both parties understand their obligations and preventing disputes over unexpected costs.
