– Driver/Engineer Assignment. Assignments will be made by seniority, provided the Firefighter has met and maintains the established drivers’ certification criteria. Each Battalion Chief will establish and utilize a list of certified drivers by seniority for his/her shift. When working a shift other than his/her regular home shift, a certified driver may not be assigned as a driver unless there are no other certified drivers on duty.
