Common use of DOT Physical Clause in Contracts

DOT Physical. The Employer will pay for one DOT physical per year. The Employee has two choices: They can go to an Employer contracted physician and be paid for their time or a physician of their own choosing, on their own time. If the Employee chooses to go with the Employers’ contracted physician, make their own appointment with the provider and coordinate their schedule with Dispatch. Upon obtaining the Medical Examiner Certificate, a copy must be provided to Human Resources. If the Employee chooses to go to a physician of their own, the Employee will be reimbursed for the DOT physical up to the maximum amount the Employer would pay if the Employee went to the Employer clinic. The reimbursement will be paid upon receipt.
