Distant Work Provisions. The intent of this clause is to manage Projects in a way which will provide continuity of employment for all Employees.
Distant Work Provisions. 27 Distant Employee 27.1 For the purpose of this Agreement, a distant Employee is an Employee who is engaged or selected or advised by the Company to proceed to the Project to perform duties under their contract of employment and the Employee does so such that the Employee cannot return to their usual place of residence each night. 27.2 The Company shall request and the applicant shall provide the Company with a statement in writing of their usual place of residence and their current place of residence, at the time the Employee is engaged. Any subsequent change of usual place of residence will require the agreement of the Company and Employee and neither party will unreasonably refuse such a change provided (a) and (b) of this clause are satisfied. (a) Any employee requesting a change of usual place of residence must provide suitable documentary evidence of the change including rent receipts, rate notices, utility accounts, bank statements, and driver’s licenses. (b) Any agreement to a change will be subject to consideration of any additional cost to be borne by the Company. 27.3 Provided that documentary proof of address such as long service leave registration card or driver’s licence may be accepted by a Company as proof of the Employee’s usual place of residence on engagement in lieu of the statement in writing referred to in paragraph 27.2 above. 27.4 The Employee shall inform their Company in writing of any subsequent change in their usual place of residence. 27.5 The address of the Employee’s usual place of residence and not the place of engagement shall determine the application of this clause. 27.6 In the event that a requested change is reasonably refused, any arrangements that were in place immediately prior to the request will continue to apply. 28 Travel Time on Employment Mobilisation and Employment Demobilisation
Distant Work Provisions. An employee traveling between the depot and nominated work site will be paid for time of travel, this includes work outside of ordinary hours which will be paid at the appropriate overtime rates of pay. This applies to all employees required to travel, i.e driver and passenger. i. Prior to the commencement of Distant Work, the Company will meet with the employees to consult on arrangements in relation to the timing and pattern of working days, recreational breaks and travel entitlements Living Away From Home Allowance add rental • Where an Employee qualifies for the payment of Living Away From Home Allowance in accordance with the Award, by consultation the Company will: • Provide the Employee with reasonable accommodation and meals, or reimburse Employees for reasonable accommodation and meal expenses following the provision by the Employee of receipts; and • Pay an allowance of $25.00 per day to compensate Employees for incidentals associated with living away from home when supplied camp accommodation while working away from home. or • Provide the Employee(s) with reasonable accommodation and pay the Employee(s) an allowance of $90 per day to cover meal expenses; or • Pay an allowance of $220.00 per day to compensate Employees for incidentals associated with living away from home other than in Camp accommodation. • Employee(s) will be entitled to 10 hours minimum pay each day working away from home, inclusive of any loadings, penalties etc.
