DISPOSAL TECHNOLOGY. The technology to be used in the Chemical Stockpile Agent Disposal Program (CSDP) is referred to as the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Atoll Chemical Agent Disposal System (JACADS) technology or baseline technology. This technology, which has been successfully demonstrated at JACADS, consists of mechanical disassembly or penetration of the munitions to remove the chemical agent and energetics (explosives and propellant), followed by incineration of the chemical agent, the energetics, the metal parts and any associated dunnage. This technology was developed at the Chemical Agent Munitions Disposal System (CAMDS), a Government pilot plant located at Tooele Army Depot, Utah, and was demonstrated during a series of Operational Verification Testing (OVT) and ongoing operations at JACADS.
