Common use of Discrimination Prohibited Clause in Contracts

Discrimination Prohibited. The City and the Union agree that they shall not discriminate in any way within the meaning of the law, on account of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, age, sexual orientation, disability, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (“AIDS”), AIDS Related Complex (“ARC”), or marital status of a member legally qualified to perform the job. The City further agrees that no unit member shall be discriminated against because of Union membership, or protected union activity.
