Digital Video Recorder (DVR. A device that stores video in a digital format to a rewritable disk drive or other non-volatile storage media local to the unit. The term covers DVR functions integrated in a CSTB; it does not include server based DVR capabilities. DVR capability may also provide ‘live pause’ functionality. For the DVR energy allowance to be claimed the recording capability must be greater than 15 minutes.
