Design Development Estimate Sample Clauses
The Design Development Estimate clause establishes the requirement for preparing a detailed cost estimate during the design development phase of a project. This estimate typically outlines projected expenses for materials, labor, and other resources based on the evolving design documents, and may be updated as the design progresses. Its core function is to provide the project owner and stakeholders with a realistic understanding of anticipated costs, enabling informed decision-making and helping to prevent budget overruns as the project moves forward.
Design Development Estimate. This further revised estimate shall be prepared by specification section, summarized by CSI category and divided by trade and work item. The estimate shall include individual item unit costs of materials, labor and equipment. Sales tax, contractor's ▇▇▇▇-ups, and general conditions shall be listed separately.
Design Development Estimate. The Consultant shall prepare and deliver, in a form as prescribed by the Department at the time the Design Development Stage drawings are submitted for approval, a detailed Design Development Stage Estimate of the Project Construction Cost. Three (3) copies of the Design Development Estimate, in an approved form, shall be submitted, providing a separate breakdown of cost information for each independent contract required; the estimate shall be subdivided into alterations and additions when applicable. Such estimate shall not include the cost of any Consultant fees, expenses or administrative and carrying charges, nor shall the cost of loose furniture and/or equipment be included. The cost of Special Equipment and Fixed or Built-In Equipment (if any) shall be included.
