Derivative classification Sample Clauses
The Derivative Classification clause establishes the requirement for individuals to classify information based on existing classified sources rather than original analysis. In practice, this means that when a person creates new documents or materials that incorporate, paraphrase, or restate information from already classified sources, they must assign the same level of classification to the new material. This process ensures that sensitive information remains protected at the appropriate level and prevents accidental disclosure by maintaining consistency in the handling of classified information.
