Dependability/Reliability. a. Zero unauthorized absences for the quarter. Any employee who is absent from duty shall report the reason therefore to his supervisor as soon as possible. b. No more than three (3) non-scheduled days of absence per quarter. When an employee calls in sick only the first day of any consecutive, related sick days shall count. For example, if an employee is absent for three days and called in properly on the first, only one of the three days will count as a non-scheduled absence in this category. Upon the successful completion of eight (8) cumulative or rolling quarters, an employee shall receive a wage increase equal to six and one-half percent (6-1/2%) of the employee’s current base rate of pay. The employee shall then be eligible to enter into the second step of the Performance Step Program.
