In practice, this clause specifies the type, placement, and maintenance requirements for items such as cones, posts, or reflective markers that separate traffic or designate work zones. Delineators. To delineate the roadway, use should be made of devices such as highway stakes and short posts provided with reflectors to improve roadway visibility, especially at night and when there is fog. They should be placed in danger zones on the road, especially on horizontal curves.
