Definitions: Modified Work. Altering a work condition or requirements to better match the employee's medical restrictions that he/she may perform safely without unreasonable risk of injury or re-injury to self or other and to assist in the rehabilitation of the employee. The altering of a work condition may include part-time hours. Work that is different from the employee's regular work and that has been specifically designed or designated to accommodate an employee's medical restrictions.
