DEFINITIONS FOR. TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT REGULAR BLOCK The regular a.m. midday and p.m. route, or the regular a.m. and p.m. route. MID-DAY RUN Kindergarten runs, scheduled take in/take home runs, or other runs occurring at midday and on a regular basis. MID-DAY UTILITY RUN A non-specific mid-day run occurring on a daily basis according to the ▇▇▇▇▇- Westland calendar. Utility runs will not guarantee a driver 8 hours. EXTRA WORK Any work that can be done before or after a person’s scheduled bid assignment (e.g. doing mid-day runs for a driver that is off work, shuttling buses, driving for parts, etc.) OVERNIGHT TRIPS Trips where one or more drivers are scheduled to stay overnight. LATE POSTING A trip request received and posted after the timelines for trips on that particular day.
