Common use of Definition of Rental Clause in Contracts

Definition of Rental. For purposes of this Article 19 only, the term "rental" shall be deemed to be Minimum Annual Rental, Percentage Rental, Additional Rental and all other sums required to be paid by Tenant pursuant to the terms of this Lease. All sums, other than Minimum Annual Rental, shall, for the purpose of calculating any amount due under the provisions of Section 19.2(c) above, be computed on the basis of the average monthly amount accruing during the immediately preceding sixty (60) month period, except that if it becomes necessary to compute these sums before the sixty (60) month period has occurred, then these sums shall be computed on the basis of the average monthly amount accruing during the shorter period.
