Common use of Deductibles and Self-Insurance Retentions Clause in Contracts

Deductibles and Self-Insurance Retentions. Any deductibles and/or self-insured retentions which apply to any of the insurance policies referred to above shall be declared in writing by ES&S and approved by the County before work is begun pursuant to this Agreement. At the option of the County, ES&S shall either reduce or eliminate such deductibles or self-insured retentions as respect the County, its officers, employees, volunteers and agents, or shall provide a financial guarantee satisfactory to the County guaranteeing payment of losses and related investigations, claim administration, and/or defense expenses.
