Declared Holidays. Every day declared by the President, the Governor, the County Superintendent, or the Governing Board as a day of public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday and requiring the closing of the facilities, shall be additional holidays provided that the President, or the Governor also makes such dates paid holidays for federal or state employees.

Declared Holidays. Those employees who are employed as Fire Prevention, Training or Emergency Planning personnel are entitled to a holiday with pay on the following Statutory Holidays: New Year's Day, B.C. Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, British Columbia Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and any other day proclaimed by the Corporation or by the Federal or British Columbia Governments to be a public holiday.
Declared Holidays. Each day declared by the President, or the Governor of this State, as a public fast, Thanksgiving, or holiday that requires the closing of the California Community Colleges or any day declared as a holiday by the Monterey Peninsula Community College Governing Board shall be a paid holiday. If the holiday is established by the President, Governor, or District as a recurring holiday and if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday in succeeding years, it shall be taken on the workday preceding the holiday when it falls on Saturday and shall be taken on the workday succeeding the holiday when it falls on Sunday.

When the employee is not required to work, the Company shall grant to the employee one (1) day's pay equal to eight (8) hours at his regular rate. When the holidays occur during the employee's vacation, the employee shall be entitled to one (1) extra day's pay, or one (1) extra day vacation at his choice. In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must satisfy the eligibility requirements set out in the Employment Standards Act (2000). Subject to the foregoing, an employee who is laid off will receive any declared holidays which occur within ten (10) days of the day of lay- off, except for those holidays which fall in December when eligibility shall be within seven (7) days of lay-off.
Declared Holidays. 12.01 The Company recognizes the following declared holidays and agrees that all employees who have served their probationary period, who qualify in accordance with article 12.02, will receive payment for such holidays based on their regular current hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours in a normal work day.
