Common use of Deadline Dates Clause in Contracts

Deadline Dates. The parties agree to enter into collective negotiations over a successor Agreement in accordance with Chapter 123, Public Laws of 1974, of the State of New Jersey in a good faith effort to reach agreement on all matters concerning terms and conditions of employment presented for negotiation. Negotiations shall commence with a meeting at a mutually satisfactory location within fifteen (15) days after Board receipt of request to commence negotiations. Unless the Board and the Association mutually agree to an extension of time, negotiations shall begin no later than May 15 of the calendar year in which this Agreement expires. The two sides will sign off on the scatter-gram by October 15 of the final year of the current agreement.
