The young person may not arrive at class before the parent or guardian (or responsible adult acting in loco parentis) and may not leave the class after the parent or guardian (or person acting in loco parentis). This is because a) in the eyes of the law young people under the age of 18 are termed young persons and b) the teacher does not hold a CRB Enhanced Disclosure certificate enabling him /her to teach young persons unaccompanied by a responsible adult. The lessons in questions are intended for adults and are therefore only open to young people aged and over (at the discretion of the teacher). Therefore, young people attending these classes will be expected to act in an adult manner throughout.
