Common use of Criminal Court Clause in Contracts

Criminal Court. If an employee shall be required to appear in a criminal court on charges related to an action or actions of said employee which were performed in the course of his/her employment, and said employee is charged with a misdemeanor, the employee shall be entitled to his/her regular rate of pay for absences that occur on a school day or school days and/or in-service day(s). If an employee shall be required to appear in a criminal court on charges related to an action or actions to said employment which were performed in the course of his employment and is charged with a felony, said employee shall be entitled to his/her regular pay for absences that occur on a school day or school days and/or in-service day(s) only if said employee is exonerated of the charges.
