Credit of Sick Leave. Sick leave is credited to the unit member's account in advance of 22 being earned at the beginning of each school year. The amount of sick leave an employee 23 may use at any one time is the total amount credited to the unit member’s account, whether 24 or not it has actually been earned. An employee on a continuing long term absence will 25 have the current year's sick leave credited to their account on the first day they return from 26 long term leave. If they are unable to return from long-term leave, then they will be paid for 27 that portion which is earned at the end of their long-term leave.
