CREDENTIALING DEFINITION. For the purpose of the HUSKY programs, the term Credentialing means the requirements for provider participation specified in the contracts between the Department of Social Services (DSS or the Department) and the MCO (Part II, 3.11, Provider Credentialing and Enrollment). In this section of the contract, the Department specifies the minimum criteria that the MCOs must require for provider participation in a health plan. The MCOs must ensure that their providers meet the Department's Credentialing requirements.
