COSMETIC SURGERY OR TREATMENT. Cosmetic or elective surgery or treatment for beautification purposes, or treatment that is not medically necessary, except when resulting from an injury, deformity, accident, or illness that compromises functionality, that first occurred while the insured was covered under this policy, for which an invoice has been issued, and that can be documented by a medical imaging method (X-rays, CT scan, etc.). Any surgical treatment of nasal deformities or nasal septum not caused by trauma is also excluded from coverage.
