Common use of COPE Contributions Clause in Contracts

COPE Contributions. The University agrees to deduct voluntary contributions made by Graduate Workers to the SEIU Local 509 Committee on Political Education (COPE) and to remit said contributions to the Union at the same time union dues and agency fees are remitted. Such contributions are strictly voluntary and are not conditions of either Union membership or University employment. Authorization forms submitted to the University will be processed prospectively on the next payroll.
