Conversion to Vacation. (a) Employees who use no sick leave during the twelve (12) months following the last anniversary of their date of hire may convert up to forty (40) hours (prorated based on number of hours regularly worked) of their sick leave to vacation. Employees wishing to convert sick leave to vacation shall submit a request in writing to Human Resources within the thirty (30) days following the anniversary of their date of hire. Conversion to Vacation. Any employee who has taken forty (40) hours of Sick Leave or less during the fiscal year ending June 30 of each year shall be entitled to convert up to forty (40) hours of unused sick leave to vacation. The month of August will be the month for annual conversion. Only those employees who have completed twelve (12) months of service with the City as of June 30th of any year will be eligible for such annual conversion and there shall be no interim pro-rata conversion.
Conversion to Vacation. Employees may convert accumulated sick days in excess of one-hundred twenty (120) days on the basis of two (2) sick days for one (1) vacation day by notifying Human Resources in writing with a copy to the Sheriff.
