Common use of Contractor’s Security Clause in Contracts

Contractor’s Security. The Contractor is solely responsible for the protection and security of the Works and all areas allocated to him, including his allocated lay-down areas and areas outside the Site, if any, which are specified under the Contract as forming part of the Site. For areas outside the Site which are specified under the Contract as forming part of the Site, the Contractor shall also be responsible for implementing access control for persons (including Contractor’s Personnel and visitors) and vehicles. Such access control shall be to the satisfaction of the Employer and shall be subject to the direction and control of the Employer.
