Continuing Contracts. A. A teacher shall be eligible for continuing contract status in accordance with the provisions of Ohio Revised Code 3319.08 and 3319.11, provided however that no certified employee shall be eligible to be considered for a continuing contract nor deemed employed on a continuing contract by operation of law unless the certified employee, prior to October 1 of the school year in which the certified employee’s contract is to expire, files with the Superintendent, or his designee, a letter of intent (See Appendix P) that the certified employee will satisfy all qualifications of the continuing contract prior to receipt of the new contract for the following year.
