Common use of Continued protection Clause in Contracts

Continued protection. An employee who steps down as a shop xxxxxxx after having functioned as one for at least 12 months, and who continues to be employed by the company, shall be entitled to a notice period of six weeks in addition to the notice period stipulated in Section 7 if dismissed by the company within one year of stepping down as shop xxxxxxx. This rule shall apply only to employees who are former shop stewards.
