Consideration for Step Increases. An employee may be considered for a salary step increase in accordance with the time interval established in the salary plan as referenced in Exhibit "A". Unless otherwise noted, salary step increases within established salary ranges are scheduled at yearly intervals. Advancement to a higher salary step within an established salary range is granted for continued improvements and efficient and effective work by the employee in the performance of his/her duties.

Consideration for Step Increases. An employee shall be considered for a step increase annually until the top step has been reached. Advancement to a higher salary within a salary step schedule may be granted for continued satisfactory service by the employee in the performance of his/her duties. Salary step advancement shall be made only upon the recommendation of the Police Chief concerned, with the approval of the City Manager or his/her designee, and are not automatic, but based on acceptable work performance. Accelerated salary step increases may be granted an employee based upon the recommendation of the Police Chief and approval of the City Manager for exceptional job performance.

Advancement to a higher base hourly rate within the schedule may be granted for continued improvements and efficient and effective service by the employee in the performance of his/her duties. Base hourly rate advancement shall be made only upon the recommendation of the Police Chief, with the approval of the City Manager or their designee, and are not automatic, but based on acceptable work performance. Accelerated merit performance step increases of five percent (5%) may be granted an employee based upon the recommendation of the Police Chief and approval of the City Manager.

  • Step Increases (a) The following is the method used to determine service credit, since the last date of hire, for purposes of positioning on the salary range:

  • Billing Increments Unless otherwise stated in a Service Order, usage-based charges will be billed on either a per-minute or per- message basis. Service calls invoiced on a per-minute basis will have an initial minimum call duration of one (1) minute, subsequent intervals of one (1) minute each, and will be billed by rounding to the next whole minute.
