The 'Confidentiality of Personnel Files' clause establishes that information contained within employee personnel records must be kept private and protected from unauthorized access or disclosure. Confidentiality of Personnel Files. Access to personnel files will be limited to:
i. the Employee;
ii. staff in HR; and
iii. other authorized University officials in connection with personnel, administrative and/or labour relations matters.

Any document the Corporation intends to add to the employee's file, not already known by the employee, shall be copied to the employee with a notation to this effect on the document. All information contained in the Official Personnel File of the University concerning an employee is considered private and confidential. Access to such information shall be restricted.
