Common use of Concerning Interest Clause in Contracts

Concerning Interest. (a) Subject to Section 2.4(b) with respect to the calculation of interest in respect of the initial interest payment to be paid on the Initial Debentures, all Debentures issued hereunder, whether originally or upon exchange or in substitution for previously issued Debentures which are interest bearing, shall bear interest from their issue date or from the last Interest Payment Date to which interest shall have been paid or made available for payment on the outstanding Debentures of that series and date of maturity, whichever shall be the later, or, in respect of Debentures subject to a Periodic Offering, from their issue date or from the last Interest Payment Date to which interest shall have been paid or made available for payment on such Debentures; provided that, in respect of the first interest payment after the original issuance thereof, each Debenture of a series shall bear interest from the later of the issue date of such Debenture and the last Interest Payment Date preceding the issuance of such Debenture.
