Computer Safety. The Employer and the Union recognize that any introduction of computer technology creates health and safety concerns that are difficult to resolve, in part because of the limitation of what is known about the long term effects of computer equipment on users. By the same token, computer and related communications technology are an integral and undeniable part of the work setting of all bargaining unit employees. Both parties acknowledge a commitment to maintain a high level of safety standards in the maintenance and operation of computer equipment.
