Common use of Compressed Work Clause in Contracts

Compressed Work. Notwithstanding Article 4.01, the Company shall have the right to implement a 4 x 10 hour shift in the Sport Shop Department, Janitorial Department, and Ice Making Department. Employees working this shift shall be paid at straight time rates. Work in excess of ten (10) hours shall be paid at time and one-half for the first hour and double time thereafter. An employee who is on this shift and is not scheduled for a statutory holiday shall be compensated at ten (10) hours straight time pay provided that the employee otherwise qualifies under Article 7. An employee who is scheduled to work the statutory holiday shall receive ten (10) hours pay in addition to the overtime rate agreed to in Article 7.02.
