Compliance with Civil Rights, Other Laws. The Contractor shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, or a matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight or marital status pursuant to Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 USC 2000d et seq., and the Xxxxxxx-Xxxxxx Civil Rights Act, MCL 37.2101 et seq. The Contractor shall also comply with the provisions of: The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 USC 12101 et seq. The Michigan Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act, MCL 37.1101 et seq. Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 USC 791 et seq., which states that no employee or client or otherwise qualified handicapped individual shall, solely by reason of this handicap, be excluded from participation, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. HIPAA regulations at 42 CFR Part 160 and Part 164.
