Common use of Competitive Option Clause in Contracts

Competitive Option. Additional funds beyond fifty-seven thousand one hundred fifteen dollars ($57,115) may be allocated in order to more closely match the base salary of the newly hired, Full-Time Faculty with the salary of a comparable position at the faculty member’s current, regionally accredited academic institution or current industry employer. It is the College’s intent to restrict use of the competitive option to situations where doing so is required to fill a faculty position with a qualified candidate. Within ten (10) work days of final placement, the Office of Human Resources will notify the CCCFT concerning the results of the final placement process, and the criteria used for placing each faculty member.
