Competition Area. The Host Venue will cordon off the competition area so that access is only granted to competitors and event staff if the Host Venue is not closed to the public.
Competition Area. (a) Participants must start and end in the competition area and may line up anywhere inside the competition area to begin their routine. The competition area will be determined by the tournament director according to the size of the facility being used.
(b) Approximate floor size for cheer will be 54 feet wide by 42 feet deep (9 strips spring floor).
(c) Approximate floor size for dance will be 52 feet wide by 42 feet deep (8 strips marley floor).
(d) All skills must originate and be completed within the competition boundary. No lineups, skills, or transitions are allowed outside of the competition boundary. The competition boundary is defined as the actual competition floor/spring floor, the carpet bonded foam panels that connect to the spring floor, and any additional border that supports/surrounds the floor.
(e) A deduction will be assessed per occurrence for an athlete that makes contact outside the competition boundary. Stepping on, or just past the boundary tape is not a boundary violation.
(f) If a sign or prop is thrown outside the performing area, that team will receive a deduction for each violation. Signs or props may be placed or dropped outside the performing area by a team member who must remain inside the performing area.
Competition Area. The competition area must be on a raised platform 0.80m - 1m maximum high (comprising a "flexible" deck or an "elastic" platform) and must be covered with 2 regulatory and new mats which must be in accordance with the FILA's colours and standards, 12 m x 12 m. The marking must be done according to the Wrestling Rules. Each competition mat will be equipped with one 43’’ plasma screen at each ends of the mat and, just in case, manual boards and recording and timing equipment, gongs, etc which will be supplied by the organiser as laid down in the Refereeing Rules. The competition hall must be equipped to enable optimal viewing for spectators and competitors (matches in progress and upcoming, match results, times, number of points, nationality) and a giant screen for the “challenge”. It must be possible to light the mats. The light must be directed vertically at the mat and must not be less than 1,500 lux (the best lighting being 1,800 lux). Non-authorised people will not have access to the competition area and the surrounding area.
Competition Area. Please sit only in the designated spectator areas. Unless marked, all mats and equipment are off limits to spectators. At every meet, there is a marked area that designates the competition area. Do not sit or stand inside this area and do not allow your other children to play inside this area—it is not safe for either the spectator or the competitors when other people are in the competitive area. Remember, you are guests at the host gym, so please treat their facilities as you would want them to treat yours.
