Commitment of Employer. At the expiration of the leave, the employee shall, unless agreed otherwise, be reinstated in the same or in an equivalent position held at the time the leave was granted. Time on sabbatical leave for the restoration of health, or paid leave for professional development, shall be counted as time on the job for purposes of seniority/job security, salary step placement, and retirement fund credits.
