Combining Small Change Orders Clause Samples

The "Combining Small Change Orders" clause allows multiple minor modifications or adjustments to a contract to be grouped together and processed as a single change order. In practice, this means that instead of issuing separate paperwork and approvals for each small change, the parties can consolidate several minor changes into one document, streamlining administrative processes. This approach reduces administrative burden, speeds up approval times, and ensures that small changes do not unnecessarily delay the progress of a project.
Combining Small Change Orders. The Owner may, with the Contractor’s concurrence, elect to postpone the issuance of a Change Order until such time that a single Change Order of substantial importance can be issued incorporating several changes. In such cases, the Owner will indicate this intent for each change in the Contract in a written notice to the Contractor, following agreement by the Owner and Contractor on the scope, price and time, if any, of the change.
