college Education Program. The Center will form long-term pre-college outreach partnerships with multiple K-12 schools and two school systems located in upstate New York, Boston, Massachusetts, the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) New Visions Engineering program in Troy, New York, Baltimore, MD, Washington DC, and Terre Haute, IN areas. These programs have been established through each ERC University education partner school and will be supported through the Engineering Ambassador undergraduate (or similar) programs. UNM will be working to develop partner middle and high schools in the Albuquerque, NM area during
college Education Program. The ERC will develop a strategic plan for a pre-college education program that will form long-term partnerships with a small number of pre-college institutions (middle through high school). This program will (1) expose pre-college students to engineering concepts through class-room and other experiences, (2) include a Young Scholars research opportunity program for advanced students to carry out research in the ERC's laboratories, (3) involve ERC faculty and students in these activities with recognition and reward for these efforts by their home institutions; (4) include a Research Experience for Teachers (RET) program using the ERC's base budget to support teachers from the ERC's pre-college partner schools; and (5) will carry out an assessment of these efforts informed by best practices in program implementation and assessment already developed by ongoing NSF-funded and other pre-college education programs.

  • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members. 2. Classroom teachers shall not, however, be required to prepare educational resource materials or exams, or to assess or prepare reports on home education students, unless such duties are assigned as part of that teacher's regular assignment.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST ▇▇▇▇ MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3). These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:
