Common use of Classroom Use Clause in Contracts

Classroom Use. (a) Kindergarten rooms will not regularly be used for Extended Care purposes. In the event that there is a space problem in an elementary school, the Superintendent or the Principal will meet with the President of the Association to problem solve that issue, and any such resolution will be for no more than one school year. (b) Teachers will have first preference in using their classrooms after school hours. In the event that there is a request for the use of classrooms by after school groups, principals will confer with the teacher(s) before assigning rooms. In any event, classroom use will be alternated so that no one teacher is unfairly affected, and no group will be able to use any classroom for fifteen (15) minutes after the dismissal time for students.
