Classification Seniority Date. An Employee's aggregate service in a classification in which the Employee has achieved regular status commencing upon the Employee's first date of appointment to the classification and including all time employed in that classification. If the date of appointment to the classification is the same for any two or more Employees, the seniority date shall determine the classification seniority.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • Seniority Date Employees shall acquire seniority upon completion of the probationary period as defined in Article XIII and upon acquiring seniority, the seniority date shall relate back to the first date of continuous service in the bargaining unit. Seniority rosters will be provided to the Chapter President or Assembly President and posted in the work areas of affected employees. Where available, the Employer may provide an electronic posting of the roster in lieu of a paper roster. Each employee’s individual employee seniority credits will be displayed on the employee’s earnings statement.

  • Seniority Layoff Recall Employees will be laid off or reduced to part-time when necessary in reverse order of seniority providing the senior employee possesses the required qualifications and demonstrated ability to perform the necessary job functions after a thirty (30) day familiarization period.
