Class Placement. All academic employees at the time of issuance of their first contract shall be placed in a class and step according to professional training and experience as established by the provisions of the schedule. All units taken after earned degrees must be related to the staff assignment to be approved. Supporting transcripts for placement beyond Class I must be submitted within forty-five (45) days after the effective date of the contract. No changes in class placement shall be made after December 31 of the employee’s first contract year except through the provisions for vocational placement and/or change of classification. This provision includes new employees hired as administrators. When an administrator returns to teaching, counseling, or other non-administrative assignment, the academic placement at the time of first employment will determine placement on the basic schedule. Similarly, all vocational instructors will be assigned initial academic placement to which they will revert from vocational placement if they change assignments. An employee entering contract status for the first time may be granted a maximum of eight (8) years credit:
Class Placement. 6 A faculty member holding a valid California Community College Credential OR possesses the appropriate 7 minimum qualifications on the Disciplines List OR has a Bachelor’s degree plus 40 semester units will be 8 placed in Class B. Placement in Class C or D will be based on degree(s) held, and/or units completed 9 subsequent to degree(s) subject to the limitations description in Article 11.
Class Placement. All placement decisions by the LTS and Skating Director are based on class participation, attendance, progress, ability, and consistency. It is not unusual to remain in the same level for more than one month. Each student has a rate at which they will progress physically and mentally. Please respect the Director’s knowledge of where your child should be placed.

Class Placement. In the event a teacher believes that a child has been placed inappropriately, the teacher can request that such a placement be reviewed by the Principal, or in the case of a student with a disability, the Principal, Chairperson of the Committee on Special Education (CSE)/Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and/or the CSE/CPSE. — The teacher shall simultaneously transmit a note of explanation to the Principal providing necessary information explaining the problem and the request. Additional information may be requested from the teacher. In the event that the teacher and the supervisor(s) reach agreement, the matter shall be considered resolved. However, decisions reached may not be at odds with Federal and State statutes relating to discipline and the students with disabilities. In the event that resolution is not achieved, the matter can be referred to the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Superintendent may request written support statements for all parties involved with the issue.

PARENT OBSERVATION Our studio has large windows for viewing your children and their progress. Parents are welcome to watch their children at any time, however, please try to not distract or talk to your student during class. Every other month we will have a designated “Parent’s Observation Week” where parents and family will be invited into the studio to watch the student’s class. Children not in class cannot be left unattended. Please always be considerate of hallway noise levels. For children 8 years and under, parents must come upstairs to pick up their child after class. WEATHER & HOLIDAY CANCELLATIONS We do not always close every time the Zionsville Community Schools have closed for snow days, holidays, etc. Please check our website, call the studio, or look on our facebook page prior to coming to the studio if you are unsure if we are open.

At Xxxxxxxxxx Park School, students’ class placement for the next grade is arrived at through a careful and thoughtful process involving a team composed of the school’s professional staff. Parents are invited to share their views regarding the class placement of their child with the Principal in writing. Parents should address the qualities of a teacher they believe would best work with their child. Requests for a specific teacher are not honored. The Principal has the final word in class placement decisions.
