Common use of CITY SECURITY Clause in Contracts

CITY SECURITY. Section 3.1. The Union and its members, as individuals or as a group, guarantee they will not initiate, cause, permit, participate or join in any strike, work stoppage or slowdowns, picketing or any other interruption of City services. Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in the course of their normal duties, will not honor any picket line established by the Union or by any other labor organization when called upon to cross such picket line unless personal safety is in immediate jeopardy. Disciplinary action, including discharge, may be taken by the City at any time against any employee or employees engaged in violation of this article. Such disciplinary action shall not preclude or restrict recourse to any other remedies, including an action for damages, which may be available to the City.
