The CITY REPRESENTATION clause serves to formally state the authority and capacity of the city to enter into and perform the obligations outlined in the agreement. Typically, this clause confirms that the city is a legally recognized entity, has obtained all necessary approvals, and that the individuals signing on its behalf are duly authorized. By including this provision, the clause ensures that the agreement is valid and enforceable, reducing the risk of disputes over the city's legal standing or the authority of its representatives.
City Representation. The City Manager for the City of La Mesa, or its designated representative, shall represent the City in all matters pertaining to the services rendered pursuant to this Agreement and shall administer said Agreement on behalf of the City. This person shall hereinafter be referred to as the "City's Representative."

c. one City staff member with optimum policy making authority appointed by the Saint ▇▇▇▇ Mayor, shall serve on the WIB as a full voting member.

City Representation. The public may perceive a User’s postings and e-mail as official City policy. When using e-mail, the Internet, and other on-line services provided by the City, Users should remember that they represent the City. Users shall avoid making statements of personal opinion that may be misinterpreted as official City policy. Users must recognize that anything they put in writing may become a public record, regardless of the original intent of the message.
City Representation. 3.1.1. The Director will administer the Agreement and, as such, has authority to act on behalf of the City to the extent provided in the Agreement. The Director’s assigned duties, responsibilities and limits of authority may not be changed without the City’s prior written consent.
3.1.2. The Director may assign a Project Representative and/or Agent, who will be authorized to act on behalf of the Director with respect to the Services.
3.1.3. The Director will coordinate the City’s Agreement involvement and secure City approval and acceptance as required to timely advance the Services.
City Representation. The City shall have the right to appoint and maintain five (5) voting members on the Board of Directors of TIF Zone 4 at all times.

The City represents that conduct by the City of the activities involving the Award shall not cause the City to be in violation of any federal, state, local or municipal law, rule, regulation or ordinance. The City further represents that it is not aware of any of the following ever having occurred: (i) any misappropriation of assets of the City; (ii) the occurrence of an excess benefit transaction between the City and any of its disqualified persons or an act of self-dealing by any of the City’s disqualified persons; (iii) a violation of the City’s conflicts of interest policy; or (iv) a formal investigation of an allegation of any of the foregoing. The person signing this Agreement on behalf of the City represents and certifies that she or he has full, express power and authority to do so.
