Common use of Change Documents Clause in Contracts

Change Documents. 8.1.1 The Owner, without invalidating the Contract, may order changes in the Work within the general scope of the Contract consisting of additions, deletions or other revisions, the Contract Price and the Contract Time being adjusted accordingly. All such changes in the Work shall be authorized by applicable Change Document, and shall be performed under the applicable conditions of the Contract Documents. The Owner and Contractor shall negotiate in good faith an appropriate adjustment to the Contract Price and Contract Time and shall conclude these negotiations as expeditiously as possible. Acceptance of the Change Document and any adjustment in the Contract Price or the Contract Time shall not be unreasonably withheld.
