Category Qualification. Employees shall qualify for any retention category for which the employee has the appropriate certification. Employees with endorsed teaching certificates (post-1987) also must have the appropriate endorsement for the category. Employees without endorsed teaching certificates also must have a major or minor in the subject area, or be currently teaching at least .4 FTE in that subject area.
