Common use of Casual Loading Clause in Contracts

Casual Loading. (a) For each Day Worked, a casual employee must be paid no less than: (i) the minimum daily rate for the classification in which they are employed; and (ii) a loading of 115.3% of the minimum daily rate. (b) The casual loading is paid instead of annual leave, paid personal/carer’s leave, notice of termination, long service leave, redundancy benefits and other entitlements of full-time or part-time employment.

(a) For each Day Worked, a 20.3.1 A casual employee working ordinary time must be paid no less than: (i) the minimum daily hourly rate for the classification in which they are employed; and (ii) , plus a casual loading of 115.320%. 20.3.2 The 20% casual loading prescribed in sub-clause 20.3.1 applies instead of the minimum daily rate25% casual loading prescribed in clause 13 of the Award. (b) 20.3.3 The casual loading is paid instead of paid annual leave, annual leave loading, paid personal/carer’s leave, notice of termination, long service leave, redundancy benefits leave and other entitlements of full-time or part-time employmentpayment for absences on public holidays.
