Care Work. At this Level an employee will be primarily performing the full range of Care Work as defined herein independently or with limited supervision. The employee may not possess a Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care Work), but will be multi-skilled and undertakes a range of duties (including General Support Work) that supports the daily living activities of a client or resident. An employee who possesses a Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care Work) or equivalent qualification, but has less than 12 months experience in Care Work will be appointed to this Level. Indicative tasks at this level may include but not be limited to: (a) Bathing, showering or resident/client's hygiene (including toileting). (b) Dressing/undressing. (c) Preparation & delivery of meals and refreshments. (d) Assist in support of Diversional Therapy activities/programs. (e) Assistance with medication (as defined by Care Provisions of the Poisons and Drugs Regulations). (f) Assistance with dressings. (g) Mobility and Transfer of resident/client. (h) Provide input on observation. (i) Record on standard structured pro-forma. (j) Input into resident assessment. (k) Input into documentation. (l) Input into orientation of staff.
