Butterfly Valves. 1. Butterfly valves shall be of the tight-closing, rubber seated type, with rubber seat positively locking in place sealing against flow from either direction. Valves shall be hand operated with cast or ductile iron bodies. Valves shall conform to the requirements of AWWA C504, Class 150B, and shall be fusion-bonded epoxy coated per ANSI/AWWA C550.
