Common use of Business Use Clause in Contracts

Business Use. If your certificate of motor insurance allows business use, we will insure your employer or business partner against the events shown above under ‘Driving your vehicle’ while you are working for that employer or partner, but not while using a vehicle provided by the employer or partner unless that vehicle is shown on your schedule. Legal costs In respect of any event which is covered under this section, if we first agree in writing, we will arrange and pay: • Solicitor’s costs if anyone we insure is represented at a coroner’s inquest, fatal accident inquiry or court of summary jurisdiction • The costs for legal services to defend anyone we insure against any prosecution arising from any death • All other legal costs and expenses we agree to The most we will pay for the legal costs is £35,000 for any claim or claims arising out of one incident.
