Common use of Board Level Clause in Contracts

Board Level. Within ten (10) working days after receiving the written decision of the Superintendent, a written appeal from the decision may be made to the Board. A copy of the original grievance, all prior appeals and all prior decisions, if any, and any additional material deemed necessary by the appellant shall accompany the appeal. a. No later than ten (10) working days after receipt of the appeal, the Board shall hold a hearing on the grievance. Any hearings held under this Article shall be conducted at a time and place that will afford a fair and reasonable opportunity for all persons entitled to be present to attend. b. Within ten (10) working days after the hearing required in Step 3.a. above, the Board shall communicate its decision, in writing, together with supporting reasons to the Principal, the Superintendent, the Union representative, the President of the Union, and to the aggrieved teacher, if any.
